Whole Wheat Tortillas

I have finally perfected my tortilla recipe. It makes a dozen tortillas.

3 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt (I use just a tad less)
1 Tablespoon sugar
1 1/8 cups water
6 Tablespoons oil

Mix together the dry ingredients.

Toddler Chores

Try giving your toddler small chores to do. In order for success, the items need to be within reach.

Our 1 year old can do many chores such as setting the table, clearing condiments off the table after dinner and placing them into the refrigerator, holding the dustpan while sweeping, putting dirty clothes in the hamper, bringing clean diapers for the baby, throwing dirty diapers in the garbage, and collecting his coat, hat, gloves and shoes to put on before going outside.

Avoid a Meltdown

Feed your happy children before they are hungry. Low blood sugar can cause children to become irritable making even the simplest situation unbearable.

Here is a handy chart you can print and hang on your fridge for quick snack ideas.

A pikelet is a pancake and if you figure out what the mousetraps are please let me know!

Quick Orange

In order to get a quick dose of Vitamin C, cut an orange into small pieces instead of making a mess by peeling it.
